Meet Our Instructors

Jacques Bidon






Ryan Dean


Jeremy Ferris is an artist based in Providence, RI. He received a BFA in studio art from the University of Rochester, NY. In late 2016 he presented a
solo exhibition at AS220's Reading Room space titled "Sunrise 70". Jeremy is a keyholder member of the AS220 Printshop and regularly teaches silkscreen printing workshops at AS220. 

Carey Goodrich
was born and raised along the shores of Connecticut and Massachusetts. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA with a BFA in Photography and Printmaking in 2013. She currently resides in Providence, RI working as studio manager and master printer for Michael Rich. She has been working at the Printshop since she became a volunteer member in 2013. Cary teaches intaglio classes at AS220. 

Lois Harada

Lara Henderson is a book artist, a printmaker, and a teacher. She received a BFA from UMass Dartmouth in Graphic Design/ Letterform and an MFA at the University of the Arts in Book Arts/ Printmaking, focusing on book structures and offset lithography. She has taught numerous bookmaking courses at Brown University and UMass Dartmouth and she most recently lead a Summer Book Arts Intensive at AS220 in summer 2016. Lara teaches bookbinding, book arts, Illustrator and Photoshop classes at AS220.

Taylor Polites is a writer, printer, knitter and dog lover. He
 received an MFA in Creative Writing from the Wilkes University in Pennsylvania where he now currently teaches, along with classes at Roger Williams University and the Rhode Island School of Design. He live in Providence, RI with his small Chihuahua, Clovis. Taylor teaches letterpress classes at AS220. 

Sam Thompson
is a photography hailing from Attleboro, Mass. He can date his love of photography back to first seeing 
Antonioni's 1966 film Blow Up where the film's catalyst - a playboy photographer - ends up solving a murder via photography. In 2016 he presented a solo show of work at AS220's Main Gallery titled "One Last Caress". Sam teaches Introduction to the Darkroom at AS220.
