Medium Format Photography

Learn the basics of medium format photography!

During a two week workshop, students will be getting an introduction to Medium Format Photography. Students will learn how to operate the camera as well as get a brief understanding of the medium as a whole in comparison to other film formats. The class will also touch upon Metering/Lightning as well as Darkroom processing as it pertains to making prints and developing film. 

Supplies  Paper, film, and all camera equipment is included but if you have a camera you want to learn how to use, you may bring it in.
Note: This is an intermediate workshop that requires you to have a basic understanding of camera functions. (Shutter speed, Aperture, ISO, ect) If you have any questions about this or are unsure if you meet the requirements, feel free to contact us!

Location and Parking:  The class will meet at 131 Washington St at the Media Arts Labs located on the 2nd floor. There will be a sign on the door with instruction on how to get in. There is 2 hour metered on-street parking available and we are also located near a parking garage with Entry on Washington Street, look for the big blue parking sign.

Important Class Policies:  Please be respectful of the short time you and the other Participants Have to learn and arrive on time. If you are more than half an hour late, we will not be Able to teach you what you signed up for. Plan ahead, always it Takes Time to find on-street parking.  To cancel your reservation, you must email at least two weeks in advance, or risk losing your payment.

Cancellation of Classes:  If the minimum number is not met enrollment in class, the teacher May opt to cancel class. If this is the case, we will give a full refund of payment and first class choice to enroll in future classes. We will Attempt to give as much notice as possible.
